ColorDrive+
This is the latest custom unit out of the UEE shop. It's a UEE Booster in the
same box with a Colorsound Power Booster clone. The only things
changed in the PB section are updated transistors, better power supply
filtering and the addition of an output Volume. These are the most widely
included upgrades and now we know why.
This pedal works wonderfully. It has to be heard to be appreciated.
Marcus Mora had a great idea here. The ColorDrive part can do clean
boost all the way to over the top snarl, really decent for jazz to metal, not
kidding one bit. The EQ section is actually one of the more adjustable
designs we've ever researched. Hats off to the guy how designed this!

Now you've probably noticed two more jacks then you may expect. What's
that all about? These jacks are marked input, send , return, and output.
The input goes to the ColorDrive, the send is the output of the ColorDrive
and is tied to the switch in the return. The return is the input to the Boost.
The output is the actual output of the Boost.
With this set up it allows Marcus to wire the pedal in several ways. The
"loop" can be used just as one may expect by putting effects between the
ColorDrive and Boost. Since the return will connect the two together as long
as nothing is plugged into it, Marcus can split his signal by using the send
and output to drive two amps. The last little trick would be to plug the guitar
into the return, then use the output to bridge back to the input, and the send
becomes the pedal output. That's flexible!
This pedal is just so cool! What more needs said? If someone should want
one we could be persuaded to make one. We could also just make the
ColorDrive as it's own thing. Contact UEE and Tim will set you up.
