Here's another custom
job for Mike Dattilo and
Mark Chulick.  The
FrankenDriver!  Don't
miss "
Birth of a Monster"!
Check out the HoneyBoy
page.  This is a one of a
kind pedal made for
Steve "HoneyBoy" Vuich.
Custom Pedals
Here's the MAGIC BUZ! This pedal is way out there in buzz factor and
creates some very odd ring modulator like sounds.  It's based off the Univox
Superfuzz.  It really needs some tweaking to make it more useful but as is it
does sound a lot like the real deal but it only sounds great in front of a
cranked clean amp which is usually too loud!  If you want to hear one, listen
to The Who's Isle of White.  Pete uses one on the first song, Heaven and
Hell.  An appropriate description of this pedal.
Uncle Ernie's LineBuffer
The Uncle Ernie's LineBuffer addresses a common problem for pedal
users, tone SUCK! Have you ever noticed when you run a long string of
pedals that your tone and overall signal get robbed?  There's several
reasons for this, more cable, more connections, electronic switches, and
half bypass switching.  All this loads down your guitar and it has to drive
all this passively.
It's a simple little gadget with a straight forward idea, hold the guitar
signal up over longer distances and more connections.  This idea can be
applied many ways, as a line buffer, a splitter switch, an output buffer on
a Wah.  About any place where loading can occur this can help drive it.
The basic circuit is built around an ultra high fidelity, ultra low noise
opamp.  There is a minimum of electronics here.  Then I apply it to
whatever needs be done.  Here's an example set up as a split switch.
The switch toggles between
the Output and Tuner jack.  This takes
your tuner out of the signal.  Technically,
the two outputs are identical so it would
function as an amp switcher.  A ground
loop being formed would be my only
concern.
I haven't worked out any pricing as
this should be designed as to the
particular use.
This unit runs off the pedal
board power supply.  Again, it's main
purpose is for driving longer lines and
more pedals.
The Magic Buz
Now some of my little projects.  On my
"
About" page I mentioned I built a reverse
engineered Big Muff.  Well, here it is.  We
had it out and used it yesterday and it still
sounds great!  It's noisy as all get out but it
does have a cool tone.  I used this pedal for
some time not wanting to trash the original.
EchoDriver and ChoralDriver
These are two new builds that
just ROCK!
