Custom Pedal Boards
Note the hinged top so all the works are safely hidden. On the right photo
you can see the patch bay and this time I managed to use my signature logo
and name plate. This should provide years of use.
This is the first pedal board I built for Rob Hileman, guitarist for From a
Second Story Window. This is a very old typewriter case that I installed
some pine in the bottom to raise it up and strengthen it. Then I added a riser
and Velcro. There's also a quick connect box under the riser so he can
snake his run to the rig and be set up in record time. Check out these
pictures.

Lastly here's my pedal board I made with the present set up. It's around 3' 8"
X 2' and has two levels. It doesn't have room for all the Wah pedals so they're
not shown. The big blue thing is a Chicago Iron Parachute. It's similar to a
Wah but is based off a parametric equalizer circuit. I haven't tried to reverse
engineer it so I could be completely wrong on that. Kurt Stier is awesome at
making them and they only really work best in his chassis which is cool looking
and durable beyond measure. These pedals are great and very unique in
sound.
I also built one for Derrick, also a guitarist for From a Second Story
Window. This one built from a Sax case! There's a platform built for the
pedals and that created a hollow below for cords to hide. Simple, Effective.
Here's the latest pedal board built for Rob, From a Second Story Window.
It's perfect for his application and everything is hidden and the pedals are
fastened down with chain links and screws. They're not going anywhere! I
also provided him with an Anvil road case that fits it perfectly. We snaked his
cords in Nylon web tubing. It's so easy for him to hook up he's ready before
the Bass Player! Click images to enlarge them.
