Rules and Ranks:  These rules are simple at present and will get more defined as
people create a need for them.

Rules of Rank and Promotion:  The best way to get promoted is to stay in the guild and
be active in it without starting trouble.  That sounds easier than I found it is.

Squire: Initiate rank.  To be promoted stay in the guild a week and don't give an officer a
reason to remember your name.  To be promoted earlier just show good guild
camaraderie.  Be active in guild chat and be helpful where you can.  That's what we
want and all we ask.  You have access to guild chat and can view the bank.

Serjeant: Main rank.  After a week or good deeds this is easily achieved.  This rank will
make up the bulk of the members as the higher ranks are limited by the number of
Serjeants and Squires or are set numbers.  To be promoted there are two things that
must happen.  One, a Knight slot must be available.  Two, your conduct and guild
loyalty has came to one of the officers notice.  Time in grade will help if there are more
than one candidate for a slot.  You have access to guild chat, personal notes, and can
access the bank.

Special Alt rule:  Individuals are encouraged to have their Alt Toons in the guild.  This
bolsters numbers and as you will read helps to create Knights and Lords.  It is important
to remember that your Primary Toon is the ONLY Toon that can advance beyond
Serjeant.  The afore mentioned numbers bolster is one reason.  The other reason is that
we don't want the upper leadership to be made up of the same Individuals and their
varied toons.  This would turn the guild into one just for a small group and eventually
people will leave because there's no way to advance.  Anyone caught not notifying the
leadership about an alt in order to try to get multiple toons in the upper ranks will be
deemed unworthy of our values.

Knight: the rank of Chivalry.  This rank requires the Knight to be Chivalrous and
Generous with their time and knowledge.  Attitude is the most important thing here.
More active in all aspects of the guild.  A well proven member worthy of his or her rank.
You have access to guild chat, personal notes, and can access the bank.  There will be
1 Knight for every 10 Serjeants and Squires.

Lord: the rank of Leadership.  This is the stepping stone rank to the coveted ranks.
Members must prove their worth to hold this rank through more deeds and attitude.
This is the first rank that can invite new members and as so it's important that you  take
the time to see if someone is worth inviting.  Please talk with them a minute if not quest
with them to see if they're decent candidates.  No point in bringing in people who just
turn around and leave or have a poor attitude.  You have access to guild chat, personal
notes, and can access the bank.  Power to invite, officer's chat, and can challenge for
the last two rank levels.  There will be 1 Lord per 3 Knights.

Master: the rank of Skilled Trades.  There will be 13 Masters, one for each skill or trade,
and the banker.  To earn this rank you must be a Lord and challenge through me one of
the existing Masters.  To do this should be rather simple.  Look over the Masters and
decide which one(s) you may outrank.  Create your highest level object as per the level
it requires to make and send this to me, Further with a note that this is your intent.  I will
contact the challenged Master and ask him/ her to produce their best work.  I will
compare them using The Crafter's Tome and whichever is greater holds the rank.  That
rank can not be challenged again for a week.  Not going to spend all my time changing
ranks back and forth.  You have access to guild chat, personal notes, and can access
the bank.  Power to invite, officer's chat, can read officers note, and can challenge for
the Honored ranks.  Any Master who is demoted will be made a Lord and can try next
week to get his rank back or any other rank.

Honored Ranks:  The Grandest Rank.  There are four Honored Ranks.  These are held
by only the best members and therefore a challenger must be a Lord or Master in
excellent standing and show the best in attitude, knowledge, and generosity.  These
ranks can only be held by certain classes.

Hunter:  hunters/ rogues/ warriors
Mage: mages/ warlocks/ shamans
Champion: warriors/ palidons/ rogues
Priest: priests/ druids/ shamans

To challenge for a rank notify the present Honored and arrange a time and place.  Once
that is done you must also arrange for a Lord or higher to witness the 3 duels that will
take place.  Yes I said Duels!  Best 2 out of 3!  If at all possible try to arrange it far enough
away that maybe we can get several guild members there to bare witness.  This is very
unique to this guild that I'm aware of and is what sets us apart.  We should celebrate it
like a festival!  Anyone who can make fireworks, that would be so over the top!  When
it's over notify me and I'll promote/ demote if necessary.  Any Honored who is demoted
will be made a Lord and can try next week to get his rank back or another rank.

I don't want these ranks to be taken over by BG players unless they truly deserve it.  Be
on your best conduct.

Honored have access to guild chat, personal notes, and can access the bank.  Power to
invite, officer's chat, can read officers note, and can challenge for the Master ranks.
Honored can also Promote members.  Keep in mind the available rank slots and don't
break the charter limits.  This would result in someone getting demoted back to a rank
that's available and that would just not go well.  Also, as a Honored you can access
officers notes.  Don't make any bankers, you will be out of the guild right now!!!  This
space if for listing things like trouble members or excellent members for promotion.
