Custom Wah Pedals
One of the cooler things I've done was going to Kendrick Amp Camp in 2004.
It's very informative and you get to meet many people who are very like
minded.  There I met Dan Albrecht and Greg Walton.
Dan is the proprietor of
Area 51 Tube Audio Designs.  He makes these
wonderful Tube amps you have to hear to believe.  He also has designed the
Vintage Italian Wah Kit.  I love this Wah so much I had to have one for my self.
Here's mine with some extra mods of my own.

And here's the top with the FoxRox buffer, true bypass and Fulltone Pot.  I
also installed an AC Adaptor.

This Wah is superior for use in Texas
Blues and Hard Rock where cutting the
Mix is important.  You can certainly tell
a Wah is being used when this baby is
let loose!!

Greg Walton is also from Texas and he does custom pedal board designs and
builds rack rigs.  He is also working on pedals and amplifiers.  He's been a
great help and is also a customer.  When Greg gets a website up I'll post a
link.  I glad to have both these gentlemen.

Also in the process I've came to know Tom at
ArielFX.  He also has a nice
Wah pedal design and a great hand wound inductor.  Here's his Wah I built
with the Halo inductor and Blacktop Pot.  It's very different from the Area 51.
It's more suited to Heavy Metal or really high gain tube amps.  It's smoother.
The sound quality is far superior to a Dunlop or Morley.

Here's the board up close.
Click picture it to see it larger.

Tom also makes a great Fuzz Face clone.

I'm not done, still working on it.
blue thing is a
Chicago Iron Parachute.  It's
similar to a Wah but is based off a parametric
equalizer circuit.  I haven't tried to reverse engineer it so I could be completely
wrong on that.  Kurt Stier is awesome at making them and they only really
work best in his chassis which is cool looking and durable beyond measure.
These pedals are great and very unique in sound.
