| Thanks for visiting the W.Y.R.M. Hopefully this will grow to become a place for local musicians, venues, and dealers to interact and with luck, help to improve the local music scene. Since I've been in the area I've met a great number of very talented musicians with a very desperate music scene. It's horrible as a night life goes. There's not one venue in Warren suitable for a 500+ crowd. And the fact that what venues are here can't pay much many musicians either work in Cleveland or not at all. This says volumes about the arts in this area. I'm certain as a fellow musician and upstart businessman that everyone concerned would like to see a better music scene. This enhances all our lives as well as music fans and the general community. Here's what I purpose: I'll host this site, manage it, promote it with the limited revenue I have. What I want from YOU is your Input. Join the site by having your band, venue, or business listed here. There will eventually be: A musicians listing page for available musicians to list themselves. Band listings for local musicians to post tour dates, contact info, etc... Venue listings so musicians know who to contact, venue size, types of acts... Business listings so musicians know where to get gear. All these people need to work together to improve the area for our benefit. By now I'm sure most of you are thinking "How much is this gonna cost?" I'd love to say nothing but until Uncle Ernie's actually starts making money, enough said. For musicians to list their availability as looking for a band, nothing, FREE! This will list name, contact, instrument(s), style, experience, whatever in a reasonable space. About one decent paragraph. Bands can list contact info, web links, style, again whatever in a reasonable space. About one decent paragraph. FREE! Want a page or site of your own? Let's talk. I can handle all that. Venues can list much the same and also size or limitations. FREE! Business listings for basic listings will also be FREE! Again this would have contact info, location, hours. No Brand listings as I won't get paid by them for the advert and I'm certainly not paying them for their logo. I'm certain you know more about that than I want to know. Here's what I do want for this: SPREAD THE WORD!!! I'll be honest. When people visit the site I hope it generates business for me, whether it be repairs or pedals or custom work, I'm trying to make a living too. I will most certainly help anyone with a site of their own and of course then I expect compensation. |
